8 things
Tagged by Alan for 8 random things about me... so here goes:
- I've had about 75 stitches and 7 broken bones in my lifetime; my knee still has metal in it.
- I have an eclectic taste in music; from Allegri Miserere to The Clash to John Coltrane, The Dixie Chicks and Mocean Worker.
- I've been self-employed for about 11 years now and I have a hard time seeing myself work for anyone else ever again.
- I'm introverted and left-handed both, at the same time.
- I drive an SUV but offset the emissions; I know it's a carbon hog, but it runs fine and it's paid for.
- I like to cook, and I enjoy grocery shopping.
- I really don't like shopping for Christmas presents.
- I'm chairperson on the board of directors at a pro-life pregnancy counseling center; I've chaired parish councils and Habitat for Humanity coalitions.
Well that does it then. I don't spread tags around - but feel free to pick it up and run with it if you want!

Thanks Steve. Yeah, I don't usually do those things either but this morning I was feeling froggy I guess. Oh, and I actually enjoy grocery shopping too. This can be quite dangerous for a budget.

Steve,
Seven broken bones?? What happened? I sure hope that didn't happen all at once. :-)
I've been self-employed for about 11 years now and I have a hard time seeing myself work for anyone else ever again.
Good man, yourself! Wish I had the guts and the gumption to handle that.

Good question Jeff... I've broken two bones at once - femur and knee-cap (patella?). Ouchy, now that hurt. The rest were here & there from when I was 13 through 25 or so.
Self-employment works for me; the important thing is that every person finds the type of work that suites them best, that they can thrive within.

With all those broken bones and stitches, I was going to guess you played hockey :-)

Hi Crystal - No hockey... just clumsy, I guess :)

Cooking is good. I can enjoy shopping, but Manhattan supermarkets can be pretty claustrophobic.
